DEPARTAMENTO AV

Open spaces that made the most of the height were the guidelines that marked the starting point of this project. Spaciousness with a contemporary and timeless atmosphere flood this 276 m2 apartment created by the ARCO Arquitectura Contemporánea team with all the needs of a young family in mind.

Entering the apartment you can see a common social area made up of the dining room and the main living room that enjoy a privileged view of the city. This space is outlined along its entire length by an oak wood lambrinth—in the shape of a vertical marimba—that provides texture and connects with the most private part of the apartment. Contrasting finishes at both ends of this area are framed by white marble shelves and a niche was made from the same material that houses a carving unit that connects with another walnut wood lambrinth creating access to the kitchen.

Neutral colors and textures predominate throughout the place, highlighting the gray marble floor in the public areas and the floorboards to provide warmth in the privacy of the bedrooms. The private areas consist of the main bedroom and two secondary bedrooms that share the family room for which a large American walnut piece of furniture was designed with a dynamic play between the natural and lacquered finish for the television. Also notable is a natural oak engineered wood shank that supports the sofa.

In the master bedroom, the back wall is covered with navy blue wallpaper with bronze lines that gives a sober and elegant character to the space, complementing the palette of finishes selected for the bedroom. Throughout the project, the furniture is a mix of furniture designed expressly for the apartment by architects José and Bernardo Lew and a selection of furniture from different brands, achieving an appropriate balance of styles.

Technology is also part of this project, for which Lutron lighting control, Sonos audio system and motorized blinds control were installed to provide maximum comfort for all inhabitants.
