Loncherías in Mexico have a long history in popular gastronomy and are generally synonymous with cravings. With this tradition in mind, ARCO Arquitectura Contemporánea developed the interior project for Lonchería La Favorita, a new proposal for the snack kitchen located on Insurgentes Avenue, between axes 5 and 6 South. The architects Bernardo and José Lew, directors of ARCO, together with the site partners, defined a very well-balanced project to make the most of the 70 m² of the premises.

The kitchen, visible to diners, is the central element of the space and also serves as an excellent distraction for those who have to eat alone, since there is a bar and chairs along the entire length. There is also a space with tables that can be configured according to needs since taking into consideration its proximity to the Plaza de Toros and the Cruz Azul stadium, we are sure that La Favorita will be a mandatory stopover before or after the events. events.

The color palette and selected finishes respond to the needs of the operation of the space and the design of the image of the place, which together with the graphic design of Ernesto Moncada, results in a contemporary environment that pays a perfect tribute to the tradition of the Mexican lonchería. It is a space that pleasantly surprises its clients since it combines good taste and design with traditional elements that give it personality, also managing to generate an environment in which “having a good taco” is a pleasure.
