Restaurante Oki Wokie Chiken Bamba
The Oki Wokie Chicken Bamba Restaurant is a union of oriental food and dishes with chicken as the main ingredient, located in the Céntrica Shopping Center in Santa Fe. The initial concept was to create the 2 images of this new food concept, fusing them into one same space, to later be able to continue with a brand image and create franchises.
The use of materials, as well as the resolution of shapes and space, create an effect of order, contrast and movement without losing a cozy feeling. The general effect of the composition that tends towards verticality, separates and unites the spaces, to meet at a midpoint that marks the main circulation within the premises.
As the main predominant element, a bench was designed along the entire length of the premises, which functions as a bench-wall-ceiling, generating a continuous band that marks movement. The main material of this bench was the Venetian mosaic, using 4 colors in the range of greens and yellows, and it also has a series of phrases in 3 languages with the messages that we find in fortune cookies in Chinese restaurants.
The edge of this band was experimented with by creating a unique texture made from chopstix or Chinese sticks, which give it warmth with the wood. On the other hand, we wanted to counteract it with a much smoother texture, where a collage was designed in a sectioned graphic that continues in the form of a band from wall to ceiling, with images related to a farm, where 3 high-speed televisions were also placed. LCD.
A dark gray porcelain tile was used for the floor, and the counter was designed in chocolate-colored oak wood. All the furniture is made from teak wood. In the restaurant you can see the careful details that create varied sensations. Under a very functional scheme, the kitchen and employee areas in the back were designed to accommodate all the needs of both restaurants, which implied 2 kitchens in a single space.
